Logo design with full branding and packaging design for Fast Flare.

The Challenge
Fast Flare®, an established white-label manufacturer of fire starter products, strategized a pivotal shift to capture the direct-to-consumer market. The catalyst for this expansion was the launch of a proprietary foil-wrapped firelighter SKU intended for mass retail distribution. However, the company’s existing visual identity reflected its industrial roots rather than a consumer-facing brand, lacking the distinctiveness required to compete against legacy competitors on the shelf. I was commissioned to execute a comprehensive brand revitalization, necessitating a ground-up redesign of the primary logomark and the development of a scalable visual identity system.
The Solution
Transitioning Fast Flare® from a backend manufacturer to a consumer-facing brand required a visual identity that would immediately disrupt the shelf. Moving away from the traditional rustic aesthetics typical of the category, I developed a high-tech, edgy design system centered around a bold industrial palette of hazard yellow and black. This concept leverages the visual language of warning labels to communicate the product's volatility with a sense of modern seriousness, resulting in a non-traditional packaging solution that is both utilitarian and visually striking.
